To date, over 700 people from around the U.S. and 13 foreign countries have ‘made history‘ by adding their stitches to one of the individual 18th or 19th century tapestries. Each has signed the Stitchers Log and become a part of this historic project. The Stitchers Log will become part of the permanent exhibit and at future exhibits, Make History participants will be able to type in their name and see the completed tapestry they helped stitch! Since the Persian wool yarn we are using to needlepoint will last 1,000 years, many generations will be able to learn from, and enjoy, this historic project.
As part of the documentation of the project, here are some photos taken of Make History events held in 2012.
